After a mastectomy, your relationship with your bra changes entirely. Many women feel lost — unsure what to ask for, worried about their options, or tired of trying styles that don't account for their new shape. We've helped hundreds of women through this.
What's Different About Post-Mastectomy Fitting
Standard bra fittings don't account for asymmetry, implants, expanders, flat-closure, or prosthetics. Post-mastectomy fitting requires understanding all of these — and knowing which bra constructions work with each.
We carry mastectomy bras with pockets on one or both sides, soft bras without underwire for early recovery, and styles suitable for prosthetics. We also carry breast forms from several manufacturers if you'd like to explore that option.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
Tell us where you are in your recovery when you call. If you're in early post-surgical stages, we'll suggest styles that minimize pressure. If you've had reconstruction, we'll fit for your new shape and make sure the underwire isn't placing pressure on tissue.
Bring your usual bra if you have one — even if it doesn't fit well. It tells us a lot about what you've tried and where things are going wrong.
All fittings are private, at our pace, and completely without judgment.
Insurance Coverage
Some mastectomy bras and breast forms are covered by insurance, including Medicare. We can help you understand what documentation you may need. Call us and we'll walk you through it.
